From Grazalema to Seville by way of Zahara
Saturday morning and we were expected in Seville. There are three main roads out of Grazalema, the narrow hilly route, the narrow mountainous route and the road to Zahara. We had not driven the road to Zahara before and so it seemed a good reason to take that way to Seville on this beautiful morning. It turned out to be the very narrow and “I can’t believe you decided to come this way but the views are superb and can you stop here so I can take a photograph?” (her) and the “I can’t believe I decided to come this way with the van, will the brakes hold, oh no not another hairpin, what views, I hope I can control the urge to drive into space” (him).
Anyway we have done it and although we are not rushing back to do it again, after an hour or so we drove out of the mountains and were rolling across the plains towards Seville. After a supermarket stop we enjoyed our tour of Dos Hermanos and found the campsite which is a few miles south of Seville with good bus links to the city.
We had booked our stay as this time of year can be busy in Seville and although not full the site was certainly the busiest we have seen so far. The facilities were good and so we were able to get washing done and update the blog as well as Skype family.
